                                                         The United States, Canada and Mexico will jointly host the prestigious 2026 FIFA World Cup, with Canada hosting it for the first time. These North American nations will host the tournament in a brand new, expanded format featuring platforms for 48 nations. This brand new format was the subject of controversy even before its completion.



The next FIFA World Cup is expected to be held in 2026 and then 2030. USA, Mexico and Canada will join forces to host the prestigious 2026 FIFA World Cup in sixteen cities. FIFA has published a list of sixteen cities in these three countries where the games will be held. Eleven of those are from the United States, including Atlanta, Los Angeles, Bay Area, Seattle, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, New York/New Jersey, Boston, Philadelphia and Miami, while Mexico has completed three locations, including Estadio among others Azteca in Mexico City, Estadio BBVA in Monterrey and Estadio Akron in Guadalajara. Meanwhile, Canada will host games at two venues.
